Deaf Aging Project

Dr. Kushalnagar at the Deaf Health Communication and Quality of Life Research Center received a grant from the National Institute on Aging. With this funding, the Center will conduct innovative cross-cultural translation of patient-reported cognitive abilities and concern scales in ASL and collect primary data from a large sample of deaf older adults who were born deaf or became deaf before 13 years old.

We have collected over 100 deaf adults above age 55 who use ASL for this project. We need 100 more, so if you are interested, please contact us at PROMISASL@gallaudet.edu. Thank you!
